Join Outdoor Recreation in promoting boat safety through the month of May. Snap a pic wearing your lifejacket on Friday, May 15th or stop by ODR and borrow one of ours. Participants will recieve a coupon good for $25 off any rentals of $100 or more valid through the summer season.

Fam Camp

Dobbins Fam Camp is a cozy and rustic camp that is located less than 10 minutes from I-75. It is in high demand during peak travel seasons and offers a quaint respite from the hustle of the metro Atlanta area.

Truist Park & The Battery Atlanta are located less than 3 miles from the installation. Other attractions, including Six Flags & White Water, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield, and Lake Allatoona are conveniently located. 

 Reservations for our Fam Camp are required.

After-hours reservations are not available at this time. 

*You must be a current Department of Defense ID cardholder or hold a Department of Veterans Affairs medical Identification card to be permitted access to the installation.

FamCamp Information

  • $30 per night (1 Oct – 31 March)
  • $35 per night (1 April – 30 Sep) 

 

We do not offer weekly or 30 day rates.

Your first night’s stay is charged as a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.

IAW DAFI 34-1-1 Fam Camp is not designed to be a place to live. Campers may not stay more than 180 days per calendar year. The calendar year begins on the first paid booking night.

Not all Fam Camp sites are suitable for all vehicle types. Please let us know the length, and number of slide outs your RV may have prior to booking. We do not offer car or tent camping. Please inquire about our primitive camp cabins or rentals of our camping trailers. 

Our Fam Camp Amenities

  • 17 shaded, partial hook-up sites
  • 30 amp/110 volt electric
  • Water hook-ups
  • Independent bathhouse with showers
  • Toilet facilities
  • Free washer & dryer use for Fam Camp occupants.
  • Tent and car camping are not permitted, please inquire about primitive camping cabin availability or rent a camping trailer from us!

If arriving during business hours please stop in ODR Bldg 558 for check-in.

If arriving after business hours please ensure that your payment has been made in full prior to setting up camp. Please do not check into any site other than the site you have been assigned.
