Fam Camp Location

Dobbins Fam Camp is a cozy and rustic camp that is located less than 10 minutes from I-75. It is in high demand during peak travel seasons and offers a quaint respite from the hustle of the metro Atlanta area.

Truist Park & The Battery Atlanta are located less than 3 miles from the installation. Other attractions, including Six Flags & White Water, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield, and Lake Allatoona are conveniently located.

Free washer & dryer use for Fam Camp occupants.
Tent and car camping are not permitted; however, primitive camping cabins are available or you can rent a camping trailer from us!

Fam Camp Requirements

You must be a current Department of Defense ID cardholder, hold a Department of Veterans Affairs medical Identification card, or registered in the DBIDS system to be permitted access to the installation.
A reservation is required to stay at Fam Camp.
Payment is due before your stay.
If bringing a pet, you must provide their most recent vaccination records.
IAW DAFI 34-1-1 Fam Camp is not designed to be a place to live.
Campers may not stay more than 180 days per calendar year. The calendar year begins on the first paid booking night.
Campers may not stay more than 30 consecutive days at a time and must leave for at least 7 days before returning.
Campers must be able to back in their RV. There are no pull-through sites in this campground.
Tent and car camping are not permitted.

After-hours reservations are not available at this time.

If arriving during business hours please stop in ODR Bldg 558 for check-in.

If arriving after business hours please ensure that your payment has been made in full prior to setting up camp. Please do not check into any site other than the site you have been assigned.

Can anyone stay at Dobbins FamCamp?

No. You must be a current Department of Defense ID cardholder, hold a Department of Veterans Affairs medical Identification card, or registered in the DBIDS system to be permitted access to the installation. If you’re unsure, please contact our visitor center at 678-655-5738 to ensure you’ll be allowed on base.

What is your FamCamp length of stay?

The maximum length of stay in FamCamp based on availability is 30 consecutive days in one period and 180 days across a calendar year from the date of your first paid night.

What's available at each site?

Each site has:

30 amp/110 volt electric
Water hook-ups
Charcoal Grill
Table
NO BLACK/GREY WATER DUMPING.

There is a dump station by the dumpster.

Can you stay in a tent or camp in your car?

No. Tent and car camping is not allowed. You must stay in a RV or rent one of our primitive cabins.

How much is your FamCamp nightly rate?

FamCamp rates are $30 nightly from 1 Oct- 31 March and $35 from 1 April – 30 September. We do not offer weekly or 30-day rates. Your full payment is due before your stay.
